Program Profile
The Department of Sports Management aims to train the qualified managers needed in the sports sector. Within the scope of the program, theoretical and applied courses are provided in areas such as sports management, sports economics, sports marketing, sports law, sports organizations, sports communication, and leadership. In addition, courses related to the core fields of sports sciences—such as movement and exercise sciences, sports health, and the psycho-social dimensions of sports—aim to enable students to evaluate the sports sector from a holistic perspective. The program aims to ensure that students graduate as well-equipped sports managers who can plan the management processes of sports institutions and organizations, carry out sports organizations effectively, and produce solutions to problems encountered in the sports sector.
Assessment and Evaluation
In this program, various assessment and evaluation methods such as mid-term exams, assignments, projects, presentations, practical studies, and final exams are used to evaluate student success. Assessment methods may include classical exams, multiple-choice exams, assignment and project work, performance evaluations, and practice-based assessments. To graduate from the program, students must have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 2.00/4.00. The success grade of a course is determined by the combined evaluation of the assessment components carried out during the semester and is given as a letter grade. Letter grades and the coefficient of each grade are determined according to the relevant education-training and examination regulations of the university.
Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate, students must successfully complete all courses in the program and must not have any FD, FF, DZ, or YZ grades. In this program, students are required to complete a minimum of 240 ECTS credits and achieve a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.
